Message From Richard

Greetings my brothers and sisters and welcome to our latest edition of Gods Faith Book's weekly newsletter. I'd like to once again welcome all our new members that have been joining us over the past week. It brings me great joy to welcome all of you to our growing community of friends and prayer warriors.

Just to update you on our current site upgrade, we are in the final stages, and expect to upload our new homepage within the next several days. I'm sure you will enjoy this new look.

We are also now ready to launch our, " prayer in a bottle" program that I discussed in a previous newsletter. We have received several hundred prayers that we are going to place in a large empty water bottle and will be releasing the bottle into the Atlantic Ocean in August. If you haven't already sent in your prayers, please email them to me at: mornstar100@aol.com before August 1, so that we will be able to seal them in our prayer bottle.

Our gift store is still under reconstruction and hopefully will be ready to go back on site very shortly. Other than unsolicited donations, the GFB store is our only means to raise the needed funds to keep our site going and growing. So, please remember your help is needed to keep our site alive and growing. Making your gift purchases helps you find needed gifts for yourself and family and friends while helping support GFB many projects. We are also considering accepting limited advertising on the site. We have avoided this in the past, but may have to start doing this to raise the needed funds to run our growing site.

Keep watching the home page for our new and exciting look. And please remember, your feedback is very important to us. Remember, that this site does not belong to one person, it belongs to all of you. Without YOU, there is no US. Always Dare To Dream.

"Thank You Lord for this day, and for all you have done for us. Lord forgive us our sins, and help us with forgiveness of others. Lord please heal our bodies, minds and hearts, so that we are free and healthy in body, mind and Spirit. Lord may you guide, protect and provide for our family needs. In Jesus name we pray. Amen"

 A Prayer For My Friends

Lord, I ask You to bless my friends who are reading this right now.

Where there is pain, may they find peace and mercy.

Where there is self-doubt, may they gain a renewed confidence.

Where there is weariness or exhaustion, give them understanding, patience, and strength.

Where there is fear, reveal your love, and offer to them your courage.

Give them greater vision, bless their finances, and raise up leaders and friends to support and encourage them.

May their spirit always be joyous and their days rich and full with love and happiness,

And may they always know that they have a friend.

Amen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 'Forgivingness' by Julia Cox

His job doing roofing was closed due to the rain, and he stopped by my house to use my bathroom. There was a time when I would never let this brother in when I was home alone. But this was not the same brother, always high on alcohol and drugs, there was a change in him and I could see it.

He was now getting high on Jesus, he was on his way to becoming a walking Deacon at our church, and he was going to meetings and trying to get his life straight. In fact it was this brother who got the entire family going back to church.

When he came out of the bathroom and took a seat in my living room, I admit that some fear did rush in, and all I could think of was, Lord please don't let me have to get a knife. After thanking me for the use of the bathroom, he asked why had I let him in, but before I could answer, he started apologizing for everything he had done to me in the past.

He asked me, if it were possible for me to forgive him. Really I thought all of this was a trick, until he started crying and saying how he needed everyone's forgiveness and not just mine.

I silently prayed for God to give me what to say, then I asked him had he asked God to forgive him and had he forgiven himself. He said yes that he had but that he still felt so much guilt. God gave me a forgiving spirit that day, not only was I able to forgive him, but I also forgave every one that had hurt me and I began to forgive the past. I'm thankful for that time with him, and that we were able to put what happened between us to rest, because a year later they found that brother dead.

Weekly Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, forgive us for times when we have abused Your good and gracious gifts, and have mercy on all those seized and controlled by substance abuse. Grant healing and strength to all those attempting to break free, and preserve Your dear children from falling under the power of anything, especially alcohol and drugs. Grant us wisdom and freedom in all things, sanctifying all the things that we use by Your Word and prayer, and remind us always to be thankful. Amen.
