 Is life complex?

Life is simple, but when we start living it, it can be complicated. Does it mean that because of our own doing, our life can become complicated?

I believe in choices. We face them every day. We decide on what to wear, what food to eat, and thousands of many more decisions that we can think of.

Suddenly, we are faced with a more serious decision-making. Do you choose to follow what is right in the eyes of God, or choose what seems to be the 'norm'?

Reality is you either choose to do what is right or wrong. If you are more inclined to doing the latter, expect complications. Most of us describe it as adding some form of spice, thrill, or adventure to life- as if taking a mere bungee jump!

In the end, we wonder why the very wire that we hooked ourselves into has already entangled us. We realized how deep we have fallen.

'Look for someone to blame', cries the fool within. We blame it on pressure, people, and of course, we blame God! Outbursts follow, 'It's God's fault!'

We wonder why God does not take us out of the muddy pit, maybe because we never wanted to leave in the first place; perhaps, too comfortable being miserable?

Then comes doubt, and unbelief. We question God's existence.

We turn to momentary pleasures. We choose to believe the logical. We say life is complex and unfair. Yet in desperation, we long for a miracle and desire to turn back time and make life simple, once again.

Here's the truth: Life is beautiful, God created it! Life is not difficult, for you have a loving God and Father, alongside. He cares for you. The Bible did say, "what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?" - Psalms 8:4.

Now pay attention. God longs to be involved in your life, if only you 'choose' to let Him.

With God, we can always go back and realize the simplicity of life, and comforting to embrace the end of it, when we are welcomed home by the very One who created it.

Begin meditating His Words today!

Member Profile

Miles Nishikawa goes by the avatar name "Mighty Mo" on GFB and has been an active member since December 2010. Born and raised in Honolulu, HI, Miles is a third generation Japanese American who had given his life to Jesus on July 1987 at 23 years of age. Still unmarried, Miles' passion is to service people of every culture, ethnicity, denomination and educational upbringing in order to bring about a great harvest of souls, believing that Honolulu is a spiritual "hot spot" which trains and equips leaders to do the works of the ministry. As the only Christian in his immediate family, Miles has a zeal to preach and teach the Bible to as many people as possible, bringing focus and simplicity to the Word of God, yet with youthfulness and wit.

Currently involved in songwriting, Miles is a creative worshipper and has been specifically gifted in organizational leadership in his church bringing about men and singles to identify their gifts and callings. Miles believes that this year 2012 will release a "sons of Issachar" anointing on the prophetic and teaching ministries so that problems which had been previously unsolvable would now be quickly identified and resolved.

As a member who actively contributes to the forum and is a prayer warrior, Miles continually imparts wisdom and grace to the the GFB site. His spirit of excellence services the GFB membership and is a blessing to new members as well.

Devotion

"When He saw the crowds, He had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'" Mark 9:36-38

The Visibility of God

We serve an unlimited God, an infinite God, which means that no matter where we are in this journey with Him, there is so much more of Him left to discover. His greatness knows no boundary.

If our coming to God included nothing beyond the salvation of our souls, that would be enough. Salvation is wonderful, and nothing beats everlasting life! However, much more exists in God than what the Church as a whole is walking in right now. In Romans 5:10, Paul writes:

For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

In essence, Paul is saying, "With the presence of God in you, you can live a life that is so much greater than the life you are currently living."

Salvation is radical in and of itself, but it is just the beginning of the Christian life. As we pick up the cross and follow Him, seek after His righteousness and experience the various principles of Jesus' life, our own lives become so much better - and God becomes more and more visible within us.

If we think that salvation is "it," we still get to Heaven, but the impact and quality of our lives on earth are so different than what they could have been. We are called to be salt and light on this earth - to be recognizably different. People should be able to look at us and see the signature of God written across our foreheads.
