Share Your Time
A man came home from work late again, tired and irritated, to find his 5 year old son waiting for him at the door. "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
"Yeah, sure, what is it?" replied the man.
"Daddy, how much money do you make an hour?
"That's none of your business! What makes you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.
"I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?" pleaded the little boy.
"If you must know, I make $20.00 an hour."
"Oh," the little boy replied, head bowed. Looking up, he said, "Daddy, may I borrow $10.00 please?"
The father was furious. "If the only reason you wanted to know how much money I make is just so you can borrow some to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you're being so selfish. I work long, hard hours everyday and don't have time for such childish games."
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even madder about the little boy's questioning. How dare him ask such questions only to get some money.
After an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think he may have been a little hard on his son. Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10.00, and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. "Are you asleep son?" he asked.
"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.
"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier," said the man. "It's been a long day and I took my aggravation out on you. Here's that $10.00 you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up, beaming. "Oh, thank you daddy!" he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow, he pulled out some more crumpled up bills. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at the man.
"Why did you want more money if you already had some?" the father grumbled.
"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.
"Daddy, I have $20.00 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?"
Share some time with those who need you.
They need our time more then we will ever know.

Member Profile - J. Scott Harden
"I've felt God's Hand on my life since surrendering to the ministry at the age of 17," says J.Scott Harden. A look at his life confirms that God's Hand has indeed been on him these past 27 years, but God was also working on J.Scott from his beginning. Born in Plainview, Texas, the son of a Southern Baptist music minister, J.Scott grew up in and around ministry: singing in church choirs, helping his dad with special programs, getting involved in local youth programs, and later leading out in worship services for other churches and youth events.
For the last decade, J.Scott has carried his desire to serve God to the workplace every day as he worked with the radio ministry of Dr. Charles R. Swindoll, known as Insight for Living. Prior to working for Dr. Swindoll's ministry, J.Scott began a career as a songwriter, performed in a country/gospel band that traveled throughout the state of Texas, and performed on a cable TV show in Lubbock, Texas, known as Country Jukebox. He also worked onstage and behind the curtain for several entertainers in Branson, Missouri, such as The Osmond Brothers, Yakov Smirnoff, Rich Little, the late Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop, and most fondly he remembers working for Andy Williams. But through it all, he kept remembering his calling to serve God in ministry - a desire God continued to cultivate in J.Scott's life even while he worked in Branson. Truly worshiping God is a passion for J.Scott Harden, and it is also reflected in his desire to teach and lead others to do the same in their lives. J.Scott said, "I remember God giving me a 'vision,' if you will, back in the late 1980s to lead our churches here in America in a revival of sorts where worship was concerned. I've called it 'The Joshua Project' from its beginning, and its core purpose is to help the Christian church regain a genuine understanding of worship; a pure and truthful experience of worship . . . ultimately making Christians, both here in America and abroad, true worshipers [John 4:23] again. God is still unfolding that plan to me as I've grown closer to Him, and I still hope to see it come to fruition through Jason Ministries." This ministry is currently active online via the successful launching of a blog site, and it is teaching about worship from a series of articles that J.Scott has written. J.Scott, his wife Linda, and their four children (Jason, Haylee, Zachery, and Troy), currently reside in Frisco, Texas.

Devotion
"For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. So Solomon did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and did not wholly follow the LORD, as David his father had done. Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Molech the abomination of the Ammonites, on the mountain east of Jerusalem. And so he did for all his foreign wives, who made offerings and sacrificed to their gods." 1 Kings 11:4-8

Message From Richard
Greetings my brothers and sisters and welcome to our latest edition of Gods Faith Book's weekly newsletter. I'd like to once again welcome all our new members that have been joining us over the past week. It brings me great joy to welcome all of you to our growing community of friends and prayer warriors.
I've received many questions regarding our point system, especially from our many new members. Our point system is very unique to GFB. Basically we award points for all activities that a member performs on the site. For example, points are awarded when a member logs on, adds a comment, posts a video, adds a friend, posts to the forum room or does any function on GFB site. These points are recorded and posted on each members profile. When a member reaches various point totals they receive FREE gifts. Yes, gifts are totally free--we even pay the postage. First gift is awarded when you reach 100 point level. So check your profile page and scroll down to your point total and notify me at: mornstar100@aol.com when you have reached gift levels. Further explanations of points can be found on side menu bar on home page.
Speaking of videos, we have added a new feature to our newsletter. We are now featuring a video every week. If you have a favorite video, let me know about it and we'll try to get it posted. Also, try to take some time and view our on-site video collection. We currently have over 2,500 videos posted by our members. I'm sure you will find several videos that you have not seen before.
Remember, that this site does not belong to one person, it belongs to all of you. Without YOU, there is no US. Support your site by going to your gift store on home page and make a purchase to support all the activities we are all enjoying.
God's love and our concern
Lord, we remember before you
all our brothers and sisters
who are weighed down with suffering.
Bless and guide us that your love may be reflected in our concern for the hungry, the oppressed and the unloved.
Help us to acknowledge and grow in appreciation that all people are made in your image and likeness. Amen.
