I Found Jesus There!

"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began, "I'll open up your heart..." "You'll find Jesus there," the boy interrupted.

The surgeon looked up, annoyed. "I'll cut your heart open," he continued, "to see how much damage has been done..." "But when you open up my heart, you'll find Jesus in there."

The surgeon looked to the parents, who sat quietly. "When I see how much damage has been done, I'll sew your heart and chest back up and I'll plan what to do next."

"But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The Bible says He lives there. The hymns all say He lives there. You'll find Him in my heart."

The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell you what I'll find in your heart. I'll find damaged muscle, low blood supply, and weakened vessels. And I'll find out if I can make you well."

"You'll find Jesus there too. He lives there."

The surgeon left. The surgeon sat in his office, recording his notes from the surgery, "...damaged aorta, damaged pulmonary vein, widespread muscle degeneration. No hope for transplant, no hope for cure. Therapy: painkillers and bedrest. Prognosis:, " here he paused, "death within one year." He stopped the recorder, but there was more to be said. "Why?" he asked aloud. "Why did You do this? You've put him here; You've put him in this pain; and You've cursed him to an early death. Why?"

The Lord answered and said, "The boy, My lamb, was not meant for your flock for long, for he is a part of My flock, and will forever be. Here, in My flock, he will feel no pain, and will be comforted as you cannot imagine. His parents will one day join him here, and they will know peace, and My flock will continue to grow."

The surgeon's tears were hot, but his anger was hotter. "You created that boy, and You created that heart. He'll be dead in months. Why?"

The Lord answered, "The boy, My lamb, shall return to My flock, for he has done his duty: I did not put My lamb with your flock to lose him, but to retrieve another lost lamb."

The surgeon wept. The surgeon sat beside the boy's bed; the boy's parents sat across from him.

The boy awoke and whispered, "Did you cut open my heart?" "Yes," said the surgeon. "What did you find?" asked the boy. "I found Jesus there," said the surgeon.

Questions and Answers...

How do I load a personal video?  GFB does not currently host videos but does allow you to link to a video on the most popular free video sites.  These sites include YouTube, Yahoo, Vimeo, Flickr, MetaCafe amongst others.  Simply upload your video to that site, and then use the GFB add video utility.

Why did you change the way the activity stream posts? The GFB membership is growing.  When we started we had far less members than we do now and we all got used to using the site activity stream to communicate with each other.  It became obvious to us that we needed a better solution as more and more people are now using the site and we expect that number to easily double in the next 6 months.  Continuing to use one activity stream was not practical.  However, the greatly improved and robust group module will allow this however.  Groups can be used to designate regions, ministries, topics, families, friends...anything you can think of.  You can add group videos, pictures and have the group be public or private.  You can send group emails to members, add public or group announcement and schedule your own events.

The system is slow at certain times of the day - do you know why? We recently transferred our site to more expensive Amazon servers for security and growth reasons...and because they were rated the best solution for a site like ours.  We had configuration issues as the GFB site - while looking like one big program to our members - is actually a site that runs over 40 interactive programs.  We found that one program required a different configuration than the others but it was not easy to find and it took us a few weeks - our apologies.  We have reconfigured everything and now hope that the problem is resolved.

You Can Invite Your Friends to the GodsFaithBook Community...

Did you know that you can easily invite your friends to the GFB community?  It is quick and easy to do.

You can invite your friends to look at GFB by utilizing the 'Invite Your Friends' utility located home page menu. The program will ask you for your email address, password and email provider (the service you use like AOL or Yahoo or dozens of others).  You are then able to check off more than one email address at a time and invite them to view the site and if they desire - to join.  (Don't worry, no email addresses or personal information is saved by us...it is used only once for this program.)

Help 'spread his 'word' by inviting your like-minded friends to be part of our growing community!

"For among them are those who creep into households and lead captive silly women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men." 2 Tim. 3:6-9

Message from Richard

Greetings my brothers and sisters and welcome to the second edition of the GFB newsletter.  I have received many favorable responses to our first letter and have decided to continue with this, but I need your help. I can use articles of interest from members that we can include in our newsletter.

We have recently switched servers to one hosted by AMAZON. We had to switch servers to help with future upgrades and to be able to handle the influx of all our new members joining us. These upgrades have caused some problems with our site speed and chat room functions. But we have it pretty much under control and will now allow us to add many new and exciting features to this site which we all love so much.

With Easter just around the corner, please don't forget to check out our Gift Store.  Remember, that when you purchase a gift for yourself or  a loved one, you are also helping to support GFB with all its activities,  as well as our program to help feed children in need.
