Gallagher Wins 2012 National Trophy Individual Rifle Match & Sagen Maddalena Tops NTI Junior Field | |
CAMP PERRY, OHIO - SGT Sherri Jo Gallagher, U.S. Army, won the 2012 National Trophy Individual (NTI) Rifle Match on Tuesday, 31 July with a score of 494-15X out of 500 possible. As the match winner, SGT Gallagher's name was added to the Daniel Boone Trophy (overall winner), Association of the Army Trophy (high Army) and the Women's Rifle Trophy (high woman).

CAMP PERRY, OHIO - Jared Perry, 31, of Porterville, CA, outlasted U.S. Army SSG Tyrel Cooper, 27, of Hamilton, GA, in a 10-shot shoot-off, winning the 2012 President's Rifle Match on Monday, 30 July on Rodriguez Range. Perry topped Cooper with an aggregate score of 398-16X to Cooper's 396-18X after both shooters entered the final with perfect 300's fired in the qualification round.

For the rest of the 657 participants in this year's M16 EIC Rifle Match, it's an opportunity to fire a four-stage match on the big range at Camp Perry and take home some memories.

The event drew 553 entries from the Midwest, South, Atlantic Coast, New England and as far away as Anchorage, Alaska.

CMP No Longer Issuing Ammo at CMP Matches. The CMP will no longer issue ammunition to competitors for the Garand, Springfield, As-Issued Garand, Carbine or any other CMP matches. This includes the National Matches and all Regional Games Events (Eastern/Western Games, Oklahoma Games, Georgia Games, etc.). Competitors may purchase ammunition at the match or bring their own. Ammunition will be for sale at all CMP matches to all match competitors at a special discounted match price. Competitors will be responsible for bringing or purchasing additional ammunition to complete the match. 2012 Western CMP Games Phoenix, AZ 12-16 October
The Western CMP Games begin with a clinic on Friday, 12 October. The clinic is highly recommended for all new competitors to the Western CMP Games. Three days of Garand, Springfield and Vintage Military Rifle Matches take place on 13, 14 & 15 October. The CMP Games Matches also include an "As-Issued" M1 Garand EIC Match on 13 October, a Rimfire Sporter Match on 14 October and an M1 Carbine Match on 15 October. The CMP Games events conclude with a Vintage Sniper match on 16 October.
Please note competitors will have to supply their own ammunition for all events including the GSM matches. The CMP will have ammunition for sale, at a discount (for competitors only) to purchase for the Garand, Springfield and Carbine matches.
The competition features special hospitality events and prize awards.

CMP Air Gun Monthly Matches

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) invites you and your club rifle team to participate in the CMP's Monthly Matches. The matches will take place on the dates listed below at the CMP's Marksmanship Centers North and South. The competitions will feature a Junior Air Rifle 3x20, 60 Shots Air Rifle Standing, 60 Shots Air Pistol, a 20 shot Novice Prone stage a National Match Air Rifle 20 Shot Standing, Garand Course and 3x20 events.
