Cyberbullies are victims too!

 

We hear a lot of talk and empathy for kids who have been cyberbullied. There is no doubt that kids who experience cyberbulliying are traumatized, and lots of research to support the devastating effects that it can have (suicide being the most extreme).

 

But not enough attention has been devoted to the cyberbullies, who are victims as well. There are warning signs to help you find out if your child is cyberbullying others.

Once you have discovered that your child is a cyberbully you may feel that you aren't a good parent or wonder what you did wrong. It is important that you understand that this is not necessarily a reflection on your parenting skills.

There are a number of things you can do if you discover that your child is bullying others online.
