Blue's Summer Bar Burger Special!

Break away from the grilling blues this summer come on in to Blue on Highland! Throughout the summer we'll  be offering a Summer Bar Burger Special featuring Blue's specialty burger with choice of American, mozzarella, Swiss or cheddar cheese, a side of Blue's famous fries and a 16 oz. Harpoon IPA for only $12.99! Blue's Summer Bar Burger special is available in the bar and lounge area from 5:00PM to 10:00PM every Monday through Thursday beginning Wednesday, July 13th, 2011 and continuing through Wednesday, August 31st, 2011.

5th Year Anniversary Celebration!

 On Saturday, August 20th, 2011 we'll be celebrating our 5th year anniversary! To show our deep appreciation to all of our loyal customers, we are holding a celebratory birthday bash from 7PM to 9PM featuring complimentary oysters from Island Creek Oysters and beer from Harpoon Brewery, and from 8PM to 11PM acoustic guitar player, Colin Herlihy, will set the tone with live entertainment, and you never know what other surprises we might throw in! We hope that you'll join us as we celebrate with an evening of food, libations and fun! 2011.

Recipe from the Chef

Last month Blue on Highland and Chef Peter Tartsinis were honored to be a part of Channel 7's Health & Fitness Expo that took place at the Hynes Convention Center. Chef Tartsinis was asked to do a live demonstration of a healthy, summer recipe, and what could be better than Blue's tuna poke? In case you missed it, we've shared Chef Tartsinis' recipe below!

Ingredients
1.75oz Poke dressing
4oz Sesame Tuna (chopped)
1 tbsp Scallions
1 tbsp Seaweed salad
1 pinch Kosher salt

Kids Menu with a Twist!

 It's not your average childrens menu here at Blue on Highland! If you're children are bored with the same-old menu options, you'll love our new "Sips with a Twist" drink list for kids! These non-alcoholic beverages are made with some of your child's favorite ingredients in a grown-up, yet fun fashion. Featuring drinks such as Blue's own Berry Cherry Temple (a Shirley temple garnished with cherries and gummy bears), and Blue's Bog (cranberry juice, splash of Sprite, garnished with blueberries and an orange or lime), these drinks will add an enjoyable twist to child's meal!  

Our kids menu is also expanding with our new slider option. These bite-sized burgers are only $9.00 which includes ice cream for dessert! 


  

Summer Bites!

 We've made a few notable changes to our menu this month! Come on in and try out new sliders topped with aged cheddar and house made relish ($9), or opt for something lighter with our new farm stand salad (boston lettuce, tomatoes, squash, tomota coulis and burratta cheese,  $10).  Since summer is the season to eat fresh and local, we've created the salad sourced entirely from the delicious produce of Volante Farms. Located less than a mile away from the restaurant, this salad is as fresh as it gets!
