Hello songwriters!
Now for even more about choruses! This week's video by Steve Leslie is the second half of his discussion on using the "I chord" in choruses. And if that's not enough to satisfy you, we've also included a new "Journey of a Song" video with Steve Seskin, which touches upon the "now" of the song.
Enjoy!

Start with a little psychology, add a pinch of music theory, and knock your choruses out of the park by carefully using your I chord in the verses and choruses! (Part 2 of 2)
Journey of a Song: Love is All That Matters
Instructor: Steve Seskin
Every song has a "now". This song illustrates that you can paint on a broad canvas and still have all the action revolve around one "now" moment. It also illustrates how to use alliteration in an unusual way. Sometimes the words that share the same beginning letter are not next to each other but still have a powerful effect on the listener. This song features classic 6 line verse writing where the rhyme pattern is aabccb.
