Greetings!,

Good morning. I am still beaming from watching Aly Raisman's floor routine earlier this week that landed her a gold medal. She made us all proud to be American, proud to be Jewish and proud to be American Jews. As the New York Post front cover attests, Aly is truly a Star of David, winning the hearts of our country.

This past Wednesday, Federation and the Siegel JCC co-hosted our community's first visit from the Israel Scouts Friendship Caravan (Tzofim). The caravan performed during the day for all JCC campers and a second performance later in the evening for the entire community. More than 400 people attended and enjoyed the two performances.

I am also pleased to report that the Jewish Federation of Delaware recently received the GuideStar Exchange Seal, demonstrating our commitment to transparency. Federation's rating on Charity Navigator, another charity evaluator, recently upgraded our Federation to a three star rating (receiving 70/70 points on our Accountability & Transparency score).

With the strength of a people and the power of community, we are Improving Our World... TOGETHER.
