Greetings!

This past Sunday, our Holocaust Education Committee sponsored a screening of In Darkness at Theatre N which was attended by more than 100 members from our community. The film (based on In the Sewers of Lvov by Robert Marshall) tells of Leopold Socha, a sewer worker in the former Polish city of Lww (now Lviv in Ukraine), who uses his knowledge of the city's sewers system to shelter a group of Jews from Nazi-occupied Poland.

On Tuesday, our Women's Philanthropy held it's spring WOW (Women of Wisdom) event featuring SPANX CEO, Laurie Ann Goldman. More than 120 women attended the memorable afternoon and to support the important work of our Federation.

Last night was our community-wide Yom Ha'Atzmaut celebration with a number of activities and programs. It was great to see the collaboration between agencies and our synagogues, Improving OurWorld...TOGETHER.

This is also the last J-VOICE that will be created from our downtown office as we will be officially open for business on Monday at the Weinberg Jewish Community Campus on Garden of Eden Road. What has been months in the making is now a reality and we invite you to please visit us the next time you are on campus.

Jewish Overnight Camp

The Delaware One Happy Camper Program provides grants to encourage children to attend overnight Jewish camp for the first-time.  It is not a scholarship fund and is not needs-based.  Our goal is to engage families who are considering sending their children to camp and, in effect, to give them $1,000 off their camp fee to try a Jewish one.

Improving Our World . . .TOGETHER.
The mission of the Jewish Federation of Delaware is to mobilize the Jewish community to address issues, meet needs and build an agenda for the future.

Our vision is to bring people together into a community coalition, grounded in Jewish teachings and heritage, to strengthen the State of Israel, the global Jewish family and local organizations in order to further the survival of the Jewish people.
