Dear Friends,
Thank you to the many community members who joined us this past Friday evening for Federation Shabbat at Adas Kodesch Shel Emeth. Representatives from area congregations as well as Federation beneficiary agency leadership attended the delicious dinner and participated in a memorable service. A special thanks to Rabbi Saks and AKSE President Ron Makar for their warm hospitality.
On Sunday afternoon, Rabbi Micah Becker-Klein of Temple Beth El told the story of Joseph Had a Little Overcoat, as well as singing songs at the PJ Library "Storytime and Sing-a-long" at the Christiana Mall Barnes & Noble.
On Wednesday, Federation President Robin Kauffman Saran and I attended Jewish Family Services of Delaware's Brandywine Village launch event. Congratulations to JFS Executive Dory Zatuchni and JFS President Arlene Wilson for implementing this innovative Aging in Place initiative.

What happens when you re-organize your school's curriculum, seeking connections to the arts in every classroom? Jennifer Borders spearheaded such an initiative at the Albert Einstein Academy for grades K-5 in Wilmington.
What happens is that teachers are energized, students are creative, and magic is in the air.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art recently highlighted the AEA's "Einstein and the Arts Curriculum" in their monthly newsletter.
