Did you know?
Nearly 136,000 impoverished elderly Jews throughout the former Soviet Union received food assistance last year through a network of Hesed welfare centers, established with help from the Jewish Federation-supported American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). Food debit cards are an increasingly important part of this program, and have enabled around 85,000 elderly Jews across the region to purchase their preferred fresh foods in local stores. Learn more about JDC's Hesed welfare centers. |

Storytime and Sing-a-Long
THIS SUNDAY!
Joseph loved his little overcoat so much, he couldn't bear to let it go to waste!
Sunday, February 12 from 3:30 - 4:30PM, join us at the Barnes and Noble at Christiana Mall for a special reading of this classic tale, along with an interactive sing-a-long and a recycled art project.
This program is targeted to children from 6 months to 5 1/2 years, and their families.
Barnes and Noble will be donating a percentage of sales from JFD friends and families to benefit The PJ Library in Delaware at both the Christiana Mall and Concord Pike stores on Sunday, February 12 . A portion of online purchases will also be credited to The PJ Library program between February 12 - 15, using Bookfair ID 067922. Click here for a printable voucher to bring to the store on February 12. Click here to visit the bookfair site.
The PJ Library and the Jewish Federation of Delaware offer free, high-quality Jewish books and music each month to children between the ages of six months and five and a half years.
