    Greetings!

Earlier this week, I joined 11 other Delawareans in Denver for the 2011 General Assembly. The GA's tagline of "The Original Jewish Social Network," is a badge of our collective, binding together 157 Federations and 400 network communities throughout North America. It was inspiring to join 3,000 other attendees who share a passion in ensuring the future of the Jewish people.

Howard Behar, one of the GA speakers and past-president of Starbucks International, correlated corporate success with his personal mission: to nurture and inspire the human spirit everyday, first for myself and then for someone else. Behar reflected, "It's not about the coffee, it's about the people and about the service to people," emphasizing how we must be human beings first and foremost.

Leading with compassion is a proven recipe for success.

    GA 2011
    2011 GA Delaware Delegation

Twelve delegates, including 5 students from the Kristol Center for Jewish Life/UD Hillel, proudly represented Delaware at the 2011 General Assembly in Denver earlier this week.

The Jewish Federations of North America's General Assembly is the premier North American Jewish conference; it inspires and engages current & emerging Jewish leaders, tackles the critical issues of the day and showcases the best of the Federation movement.

Special thanks to GA Chair, Lisa Dadone-Weiner, for her leadership, enthusiasm and support in ensuring a memorable experience.
