    Greetings!

This week is a great example of how Federation and our agencies build community. On Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending the UD Hillel Board Retreat as well as a Dessert Reception the following evening. On Tuesday evening, 23 women attended their first committee meeting for Federation's Women Of Wisdom (WOW) Fall Event, scheduled for October 26. Wednesday night, Jewish Family Services of Delaware's Reel Talk event was held at The World Cafe Live downtown. And later this morning, Federation is convening an Agency Board Retreat for our beneficiary agencies to enhance our community's leadership with true collaboration.

We are fortunate to live in a community with passionate and dedicated leadership who are committed to Improving Our World...TOGETHER.

    Shabbat Shalom.

    Hayride

Sixty people filled the hayride and picked apples on the farm at "Apples and Honey" last Sunday, which marked the first of several YLD events planned for the fall.  Special thanks to Ilicia Strasser and Karen Legum for their work in organizing this great first-time event!  Click here to view photos from Sunday.

This coming Tuesday, September 20 at 6:00 pm, YLD's monthly networking series, "Schmooze and Brews" includes a social action project at the Food Bank of Delaware, followed by drink specials and socializing at the Deer Park Tavern in Newark.  Click here for more details on Schmooze and Brews Makes a Difference.
