DID YOU KNOW?
| | Tzedakah derives from the Hebrew tzedek, denoting justice or righteousness. Tzedakah is based on the sense that justice requires sharing.
As Jews, we count on the ability of individuals to uplift others, and we treasure our historic desire to be full participants in a community's welfare. A donation to the Jewish Federation of Delaware's 2011 Annual Campaign is an investment in your community.

JFNA Briefing: Israel Situation Escalates
Tensions in Israel escalated yesterday when a new barrage of rockets struck communities in the south. The Jewish Federations of North America's Israel office reports that while the attacks have diminished since last week, the situation remains dangerous - and Jewish Federation-supported programs of our overseas partners continue to respond. Following a few days of relative quiet, terrorists launched about 20 rockets into Israel in the past 24 hours. In the latest barrage, a nine-month-old Israeli baby was wounded by shrapnel when a rocket hit a car south of Ashkelon. Click here to see a comprehensive list of latest incidents. Jewish Federations, as well as our partners such as, the Jewish Agency for Israel, JDC and the Israel Trauma Coalition (ITC) are active on the ground across the entire southern region in Israel providing relief, giving support, monitoring needs and assessing results. |
Federation Opens Temporary Office at the Siegel JCC
The Jewish Federation of Delaware recently opened a temporary office on the Garden of Eden campus in the space previously occupied by Gratz Hebrew High School.
The move is the first step in Federation's plan to eventually relocate its downtown offices back on the campus it left more than 15 years ago. Please stop by and say hello!
