The Martin and Shelly Mand

Camp Scholarship Fund

Summer camp In honor of receiving the 2011 Irving S. Shapiro Community Builder Award at Federation's Annual Meeting last month, Marty Mand's three sons (Greg, Michael and Brian) have established the Martin and Shelly Mand Summer Camp Scholarship Fund to provide camp scholarships at the Siegel Jewish Community Center

Studies have shown that attendance at a Jewish summer camp results in adults who are more engaged with the Jewish community.  As adults, campers are:

- 30% more likely to donate to a Jewish charity;

- 37% more likely to light Shabbat candles;

- 45% more likely to attend synagogue monthly or more; and

- 55% more likely to be very emotionally attached to Israel.

For years, Marty and Shelly Mand have helped to make a difference in our Jewish community.   Their sons, by creating the Mand Camp Scholarship Fund, are continuing this sacred tradition.  These scholarships will help make an immediate impact and provide ongoing support for future generations of campers.

You can support the Mand Camp Scholarship Fund by making a tax-deductible contribution online by clicking here .
