What an awesome day! Mitzvah Day 2011 last Sunday brought together 600 volunteers working on 30 projects throughout the state of Delaware. From Seaside Jewish community in Rehoboth, to Beth Sholom in Dover to all the congregations in New Castle County working side by side with our non-Jewish neighbors, the Jewish community spent the day Improving Our World......Together. Thank you to each of our volunteers for making this day a success!

Welcome to Annual Meeting Season
Starting this Sunday, May 22, many local Jewish organizations and congregations will call on their membership to attend their Annual Meeting.
Meetings are generally not the first thing on the list of things we'd like to do, but here are a few reasons to make a point of attending the Annual Meeting(s) you are invited to this year:
- Make your voice heard -- votes are often taken at annual meetings.
- Stay up-to-date on the direction of the organization - Annual Meetings are an opportunity to hear about annual milestones, and where your organization plans to go in the next year.
- In the words of Hillel: "Do not separate yourself from your community" -- attending the Annual Meeting connects you to your community, and connects your community to you!
The Jewish Federation's Annual Meeting is Thursday, June 16 featuring Rafi Danziger, AIPAC's Director of Research and Information, who will provide an important update on the Middle East and US/Israel relations.
