Greetings!
Spending the first part of the week in New York allowed me the chance to interact with a number of Intermediate City Federation Executives who are facing parallel community issues. Increasing the Annual Campaign, engaging NextGen, ensuring Jewish educational needs are met, and growing our endowment for the future are concerns not only in Delaware but around the country. I returned on Wednesday in time for the first in a series of Allocations presentations from our constituent agencies. It is an important process that provides Federation leadership with an opportunity to evaluate and decide how our community dollars should be distributed both locally and overseas. None of this can be accomplished without YOU. We are able to meet daily challenges because of your unwavering commitment and support. Shabbat Shalom.

"There are times when major events loom on the horizon and we can see trouble from afar. And then there are those times when disaster strikes suddenly, causing shock, fear and sadness around the world. Unfortunately, the past few days have seen such sudden tragedies; in Japan, in Israel and across the world. Click here to read the full post. |
