We thank you once again for entrusting your children to us to teach and inspire to be the best they can be. It is our greatest joy as teachers to see our students grow in their skills and confidence! As we move into our busy season at Panorama we hope to provide as much information to you to keep you informed and up-to-date on all the happenings here at the studio. Hope everyone is well rested and ready for the busy year ahead! There are many events and activities coming up, so please note dates and times on your calendar to help keep some sanity in your life! Check bulletin boards in the waiting room, log on to our website regularly, talk to Panorama School of Dance staff, and keep yourselves informed.
Come in and visit "The Dancers Closet" if you haven't been in lately. We have funwear for the students (and parents too!) of Panorama School of Dance. Hoodies, sweatpants, and shorts can be purchased in Youth or Adult sizes. We will continue our sale on these items of 15% off until February 15th, 2011. These are great to wear to and from the studio over our dancers' class uniforms to keep them cozy and warm.

Mock Exams 
Ballet students will be given letters with this week with the times for their Mock exam. Please be sure to read the entire letter, as important information is included: Arrival time, attire, hair, etc. If you have any questions please talk to your child's teacher or contact our office (604)599-9351.
Ballet Exams/Presentations
Ballet Exams have been scheduled for March 7 to 11th. We will advise you as soon as possible the exact date and time your child will be examined. Our examiner's name is Mrs. Lynnette Kelley and our pianist, Mrs. Terri Driedger.

Robert Policarpio
 Robert hails from Manila Philippines. He danced professionally with Philippine Ballet Theatre and Ballet Philippines where he performed soloist roles from the classical repertory and in works of international choreographers such as Robert Barnett, Tom Pazik, Paul de Masson, Jan Linkens, Agnes Locsin, George Balanchine , just to name a few. He is also a ballet restager, the highlight of which when he had the opportunity to travel to China to restage the ballet "La Gitana" for the Central Ballet of China and the ballet "Camille" for the Beijing Dance Academy. Upon retiring from the dance scene, Robert moved to Brunei Darussalam to become the resident ballet teacher/Director of the Panaga Dance Centre for 17 years until his migration to Canada in 2010. Robert is a certified Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) teacher and a Stott Pilates instructor. |
Dance Extravaganza & Competition News
Our Dance Extravaganza will be soon, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Surrey Arts Centre at 2:00pm. This show is an opportunity for all of our Competition students to perform their routines in front of family and friends. Our Panorama Youth Company will also perform their show entitled "Dancin' Divas", a tribute to special women in our world. It makes a wonderful afternoon of dance! Reserved seating tickets can be purchased through the Surrey Arts Centre Box Office for $14.50 each, and will be available for sale on February 1st, 2011.
Competition dates will be arriving over the next couple of months, so please be sure to watch the bulletin boards and our website for schedules. www.panoramadance.com

Costumes
The Year End Show costumes will be arriving very soon. Please be sure to put your child's name in all pieces, and put them away safely until Photo Day and the Year End Show. **They are not to be worn to class** For those of you who have not yet received a costume, please be patient, as many are still to be received.
