Seacrest Services Newsletter
January 2012
Greetings!

With 2012 upon us, we're looking back at some of Seacrest Services's brightest moments in 2011. Our company has experienced some really exciting accomplishments last year and we would like to take a moment to reflect on our Top 5 highlights:

  • SFBJSouth Florida Business Journal named Seacrest Services the 5th Largest Landscaper in South Florida. The list was based on each company's combined annual revenues of both residential and commercial landscaping.

"For years we have been a proud leader in the property management industry in South Florida, and now to have the landscape division earn the distinction as a leader in its own right is a testimony to our company's commitment to excellence in all areas"

  • Seacrest Services expanded territory to Orange, Osceola, Lake and Seminole counties in Orlando, Florida. We are proud to be serving Orlando communities with the same exceptional service South Florida has enjoyed for decades.

  • In 2011, Seacrest launched a new informative and interactive website. The new website gives residents access to a secure community login, a secure option for making online payments, and access to submitting work orders online. The site also gives reader an opportunity to read executive profiles and explore a list of the services we offer. Screenshot.new

Seacrest Landscape Tip

Although Floridians can count on comfortable weather during the winter months, Florida does have the tendency to surprise us with a few cold snaps. These cold snaps have the potential to injure plants or plant parts such as fruits, flowers, buds, leaves, trunks, stems or roots. Tropical plants and summer annuals do not adapt to withstand temperatures below freezing and many are injured by temperatures below 50°F.

Homeowners can take steps to protect their plants from freezing temperatures. Plants in containers can be moved inside where heat can be supplied and/or trapped. Coverings can protect the plants from frost. Some examples of coverings that you can use are: cloth sheets, quilts or black plastic. It is necessary to remove plastic covers during a sunny day or provide ventilation of trapped solar radiation.

It's important to keep track of weather forecasts. The local weather forecast allows time to react and take necessary precautions to protect your landscape. Seacrest Services Inc. can help ensure that you are using the correct strategies to lessen damages during this winter season!
