Seacrest News:
Commitment to Safety
Seacrest Services is committed to providing its employees with a safe and healthy environment which to work. We recognize that a safe and healthy workplace is the responsibility of every employee. We take every measure to ensure that our employees are educated, informed and expected to adhere to our safety program. The Zenith Workers' Compensation Specialists recently stopped by our corporate office to train employees on their 5 Star Safety Leadership Program. Employees learned about the following topics: - Motivation and changing behavior
- Communication and training
- Hazard identification and correction
- Incident investigation and workplace injury management
- Commitment to action
Regular training helps employees learn how to avoid hazards, keeps lines of communication open between employees, and lets employees know that we are serious about promoting safe work practices. |

Ask The Expert:
What to expect when hiring a collection agency?
By: Melissa L. Nash, President of ARI
The answer is simple - Results and communication. Not all collection agencies are the same. Checking with your local Better Business Bureau is recommended. Additionally, selecting a firm with experience in real estate is equally as important.
As a full service collection agency, our primary success comes from two separate but distinct approaches. Our first focused approach is to be proactive rather than reactive. Our second focused approach is pursue the owner individually for recovery, whenever practical - skip the foreclosure route all together and seek a "money judgment."
Collection agencies can do just that. Provide results.

Seacrest Landscape Tip
Although Floridians can cou nt on comfortable weather during the winter months, Florida does have the tendency to surprise us with a few cold snaps. These cold snaps have the potential to injure plants or plant parts such as fruits, flowers, buds, leaves, trunks, stems or roots. Tropical plants and summer annuals do not adapt to withstand temperatures below freezing and many are injured by temperatures below 50°F.
Homeowners can take steps to protect their plants from freezing temperatures. Plants in containers can be moved inside where heat can be supplied and/or trapped. Coverings can protect the plants from frost. Some examples of coverings that you can use are: cloth sheets, quilts or black plastic. It is necessary to remove plastic covers during a sunny day or provide ventilation of trapped solar radiation.
It's important to keep track of weather forecasts. The local weather forecast allows time to react and take necessary precautions to protect your landscape. Seacrest Services Inc. can help ensure that you are using the correct strategies to lessen damages during this winter season!
