Frazee Math
Joe and Dana Thomason, faithful Frazee mentors and volunteers have now created Wednesday Math Camp at the Frazee Center! Joe and Dana lead the children in fun math activities that Joe and Dana have created and help the students with homework. On a Frazee Wednesday, you might see Joe and Dana reviewing homework with the 3rd-5th grade girls, having a multiplication facts race with the 3rd-5th grade boys or running a candy store in the K-2nd grade room where students get to buy candy with their play money. We are grateful to Joe and Dana for their creativity and consistency in making math fun! |

Mentor Dinner
"Will you be my mentor? Because everyone around here has a mentor, and I want one too," said third-grader JaVaughn, who began attending the Frazee Center in January. During his first three weeks, JaVaughn realized that having a mentor was GREAT!
Because Frazee mentors are such a life-changing part of the Frazee Center, the Frazee staff celebrated the Frazee mentors with a Mentor Celebration Dinner at Stax's Original Restaurant on January 21. Over 40 mentors and their guests gathered to celebrate the second year of the Frazee mentoring program. It was a great time of sharing and learning. Click here to see pictures from the event. The children and staff are continually grateful for our Frazee mentors and the wonderful influence each mentor has in the life of his or her Frazee student.

Upward Basketball
Children from the Frazee Dream Center and Grace Church have begun their basketball season. Each team has children from both Frazee and Grace Church. The teams practice during the week and play their games each Saturday. At the first game on January 28, the gym was filled with excited Frazee/Grace basketball players and cheerleaders, parents and family members, and Frazee mentors. Big smiles were on each player's face as he or she came out of "the tunnel" when his or her name was called. All the students showed great sportsmanship, and everyone is looking forward to each game.
Thank you to Ben Baldridge and Kristen Cooper with Upward Sports and the Grace Church volunteer coaches for making this opportunity possible.
Frazee/Grace Upward games will be held at the Frazee Dream Center every Saturday February 4 - March 10 except February 11.
 | | Our winter basketball games are now warm thanks to newly installed heaters in the gym! | K-1st grade games begin at 9 a.m.; 2nd-3rd grade games begin at 10 a.m.; 4th-6th grade girls games begin at 11 a.m. and 4th-6th grade boys games begin at 12:00 p.m. If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy watching the fun!
