North Greenville Rotary Christmas

Christmas came December 2 for
32 kindergarten-3rd grade Frazee students.
The students joined the North Greenville Rotary members at the Hyatt Regency downtown for a deluxe buffet dinner, hot chocolate and marshmallows, carol singing and a visit from Santa Claus.  Each student was called up to receive their HUGE bag of goodies from Santa.  There were squeals heard all over the room as students opened their gifts. Click here on our Facebook page to see pictures of all the fun! Thank you to the
North Greenville Rotary and Michelle Moore for planning such a magical and memorable evening.

Frazee Preschool

The Frazee preschool students enjoyed a festive Christmas celebration provided by members of
the Margaret Aiesi Circle from First Baptist Church Greenville.  After a wonderful snack and musical performance by the students (led by their director, Ethel Childress), the children were treated to a surprise visit from Santa.  Santa gave each child a Christmas bag filled with treats and also opened a sandbox and other toys that the Circle had gifted the classroom.  Click here to see pictures of all the excitement!  Thank you to Andy Patterson for playing the jolly surprise Christmas visitor. (Ho! Ho! Ho!)

Also in December the preschool students enjoyed art exploration at Creating Artists for Tomorrow, bouncing around at Monkey Joe's and a Christmas Celebration with the Hillcrest High School students in Georgia Lash's child development class. The students had so much fun at each special event.

We are grateful for all our wonderful Preschool volunteers and all our fun opportunities!

Preschool volunteers are always needed between the hours of 9 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Alise Brown at alise@frazeecenter.com.

Dinner and a Movie with ScanSource

Sponsored by ScanSource, several mentor families and their Frazee mentees enjoyed eating out at Wasabi restaurant and seeing the Happy Feet Two movie. Everyone had a great time! We are grateful to ScanSource for providing this opportunity to enhance the Frazee mentoring experience.  Please click here to see pictures from the event.

Frazee Meals

The Frazee after-school program provides dinner for eighty-five elementary and middle school students each Monday - Thursday evening beginning at 5 p.m.

Please contact Alise Brown at alise@frazeecenter.com if your church group, civic group or business group would like to help provide dinner for students of the Frazee Dream Center.  Currently we have January 9, 12, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30 and 31 available.

Thank You for a Great December!

The Frazee students and staff are grateful for all the visits, gifts, donations and experiences from numerous Upstate businesses, churches and community groups.  Students had the opportunity to run in the Jingle Bell Jog, see the Nutcracker ballet, and make gifts for their teachers.  The Frazee students were able to meet new volunteers, eat great meals and enjoy new opportunities thanks to the community's generosity.
We are grateful to each member of our "Frazee Family!"

Overtime Begins

Overtime classes are a wonderful addition to our Frazee program. Overtime classes are enrichment classes (dance, knitting, basketball, ping pong, drumming wrestling, singing etc.) taught to a small group of Frazee students from 6-7 p.m. once a week.  Overtime classes will begin the week of January 23 and will end the week of March 26 (10 weeks).  If you are 15 and older and interested in sharing your interests and talents through an Overtime class, please contact Alise Brown by January 17.

Congratulations to our Overtime Frazee Wrestling program!  The Frazee Wrestling team has been participating in several wrestling tournaments and have been doing very well.  We invite you to be a "fan" on Facebook to follow their success!  Click here to see their Facebook page.
