 The Escape Fri, Sept 7, 9pm-Midnight You've waited all summer for it, now it's finally here! After 3 long days of school, you'll need a break! Come on out to the Escape from 9pm - 12am, Fri, Sept 7th, for all students in High School. $5/person at the door. Food, fun, friends, dancing, and of course..some hard core inflatables! You don't want to miss the first big event of the school year!Invest in a life! We are looking for a number of new volunteers to serve in children's ministry. The children and students that gather with us each weekend come to celebrate, worship and be inspired to follow after Christ. The adults and student leaders who invest in them each week are the most valuable resource we have in Promiseland, Solid Rock and Student Community. Traditional Service Orchestra Needed are Strings, woodwinds, and brass. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings prior to the 8:15 service at 7:30 a.m. Any age, male and female, teens, etc. Music is given out the week before to take home to review. Solaire Moms
Solaire is a group of moms from Syracuse, Jamesville-DeWitt, East Syracuse, Fayetteville-Manlius, Cazenovia and beyond who gather together for encouragement and community and to share our ups and downs of marriage, motherhood and womanhood. Solaire welcomes moms with children of all ages to join us for good food and conversation on the first and third Wednesdays of every month. Childcare is provided by a background checked, paid staff of childcare workers. Our group meets in the lobby of Eastern Hills Bible Church which is located on Rt. 92 in Manlius. Starts Sep 19. Greg was raised in church, but by the time he started school at The University of Texas, he realized he was not living in obedience to God. Originally, his goals were to obtain a degree in computer science, find a good job and pursue what this world has to offer. But at the invitation of a good friend, Greg started attending The Austin Stone and going to a campus Bible study. At that point, God made some remarkable changes in his life.

MISSIONS

SENEGAL: Pray for our church, the elders and the pastors, that they continue to seek the Holy Dpirit for guidance to know what God is saying and how and where He is asking us to work. Is God calling you to help one of the leaders in some way so that they have more time to be with God? this could be your ministry and way that God wants you to help someone come to know Him in Africa. God works in many ways, so many ways that we have no idea. I like to imagine myself with Jesus, sitting at his feet, sitting in awe when everything is unveiled, i hope you are sitting with me. Eagle Wings Academy
Eagle Wings Academy is beginning its fifth year of operation this September 4th. We are looking for individuals who would be willing to commit to volunteering either one 1/2 day or a whole day each week. This regular commitment would allow for the staff to plan specifically knowing that there will be extra help on a particular day. If you are interested, please call the school office at 396-0024 to request a volunteer application. A background check and references will be required. There is also a need for help with some special projects (e.g. cutting; sorting; assembling; etc.) - and some of this work can be done at home and returned when completed. If available, call the above number so that we can connect with you. |
