UPCOMING... Blood Drive Eastern Hills Bible Church (8277 Cazenovia Rd) Thu, Aug 2, 2-7pm. Blood Drive Coordinator Position The blood ministry is a life saving mission. Every two seconds a unit of blood is needed by a hospital patient in the United States. Each whole blood donation has the potential to help save three lives; the unit of blood is separated into plasma, platelets and red cells, each component needed by patients for different conditions. We rely on voluntary donations of blood and time to hep us in this life saving mission. The role of blood drive coordinator can be shared by more than one person. The coordinator(s) would call or email to make blood donation appointments from a list of donors in the community supplied by the Red Cross, using a schedule of appointment times also supplied by the Red Cross. Volunteers can also help at blood drives with registration and canteen supervision. The reward is the satisfaction of helping a patient in need. Please contact Robert Cotter from the America Red Cross to volunteer, Robert.Cotter@redcross.org

MISSIONS
Highlights and/or needs of current missions connected with EHBC.
Prespectives Class
Perspectives is a widely known and respected semester long class in a Biblical perspective helping believers understand how they can be woven into God's story of redeeming the world. It takes a look at the history of the church, missionary movements and God's mission today. This is a 15 week course offered locally at St. James Episcopal in Skaneateles beginning Sept. 2012. For more information or registration go to www.perspectives.org
An Afternoon of Sharing and Stories
Sun, July 29, 3-6pm.
Youth and Community Life Center, CrossRoads Community Church, (1751 Fyler Road, Chittenango) Nick Mangine, from Chittenango, NY, and his wife, Gwenn, have been raising 12 kids in Haiti for over three years. Through an earthquake, hurricanes, multiple robberies, and the general insanity of daily living in a developing nation, those three years have been quite interesting. Please join us for an afternoon of sharing, stories, pictures and videos. A boutique of Haitian products will be available for sale. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
SENEGAL: Pray for the Senegal leadership team. They are continuously working to help many villages, including the one we have adopted. They are passionate for Christ and don't want to stop until everyone has heard about Christ. They often work without pay, while facing difficulties such as sickness; they also get malaria and food borne illnesses. When we travel we get a lot of preventative shots and take medicine. We sacrifice a week's vacation away from our family, they sacrifice their life daily.
SENEGAL: Our partnering church in the rural village of Ndiadiane has begun construction on their building. Please continue to pray for the workers, church members and pastor as they are heavily involved in the process. We pray that through this process they will have opportunities to have spiritual conversations with the community and that the spirit of God will continue to work in and among the people.

Community Resource of the Week
What if we took the words of Jesus seriously, and began to live incarnational lives? This is what Sara has done by moving to the South Bronx, one of the poorest neighborhoods in the US, to live amongst the people who need to see Jesus. This is the story of how she left her full-time job to give all her time, energy, and creativity to be apart of God's renewal in this neighborhood. This is just the beginning of God's work in the South Bronx of New York City.
