Community Resource of the Week
"Nostalgia will move us nowhere!" Michael Frost challenges those in attendance at Exponential 2011: On the Verge to tell the dangerous story of Yahweh coming to earth as a man, before we tell stories of packed pews and loud choirs. Check out this clip from the conference. Michael Frost is a church planter, missiologist and author, exploring the missional framework in the postmodern era. He is the author or editor of a number of theological books, the most recent of which are the popular and award-winning, The Shaping of Things to Come (2003), Exiles (2006), ReJesus (2009), and Faith of Leap (2011)

Highlights and/or needs of current missions connected with EHBC.
CNY Horn Of Africa Famine Relief
www.easternhills.org/go/famine
The ongoing drought in the Horn of Africa is the worst the region has seen in 60 years. Experts have even declared famine in Somalia. That hasn't happened anywhere in the world since the 1980s. And nearly 12 million people remain at risk. World Vision is working in this hard-hit region to provide emergency food, lifesaving medicine, drought-resistant seeds, and access to clean water. Thanks to generous grants, your gift will multiply five times to help World Vision rush critical aid to families who are struggling to survive.
