CHANGES IN THE AIR!
September has always been identified with exciting changes - the end of summer, the beginning of school or college, a re-launch of the existing status quo. And so it is with us!
|
OUR EVOLUTION
Angéline's is evolving! Our family has had a vision for the future, plans for which have been underway since the beginning of the year. It encompasses enhanced accommodation at the inn and further development of our cocktail bar and lounge, The Hubb.
So we were excited when TFO television asked us to be part of their profile of the County. Their program, Reliefs, will be shown in September.

BEST OF THE BEST
Michael Potters, our current Chef de Cuisine, is moving on and we wish him well in his future endeavours.
The County will miss him - everyone has appreciated his exquisite cuisine at Angéline's over the last year.
To celebrate his last few weeks with us, from Sept 9th to Oct 1st, we will be offering his favourite dishes in the form of a 5-course menu for $65, his own 'Best of the Best'.
Dining hours will be 5.30-9 pm, Thurs, Fri, Sat evenings only. Reservations are required.
Please note that Michael's regular à la carte menu will be available only until Sept 4th, Thurs-Sun.

THE HUBB*
The Hubb at Angéline's our recently-introduced cocktail bar, will morph into a lively meeting place - a vibrant venue for simple delicious food choices, as well as cocktails, both alcoholic and non. Our usual wide selection of excellent local wines will be on offer as well.
Thirsty and hungry clients are welcome from 5-9 pm, Wed - Sun. So far oysters have been one of their most popular choices.
*Some have asked where the name came from. It honours the people who created our home in 1869 - Angeline and Henry Hubbs. And of course we like the play on words; it would be fun to be the centre of many good things!

A shout out to Amanda Keys, our student intern, who has just won a 3-year scholarship to the Culinary Program at Loyalist College.
We share her excitement with her...especially as a trip to Paris is on the books for next year.
Well done Amanda! We have appreciated your commitment, hard work and focus, as well as your mischievous smile.
We all have enjoyed having you on our team!

OMA'S LABYRINTH
Oma's labyrinth is a lesson to us all - it has continued thriving, blossoming and growing with loving care, a clear vision and positive intention - a symbol for us all as we move forward.
These hibiscus blossoms are still in bloom. You are welcome to come and enjoy them before the summer is over!
Sincerely,
The Fida family.
