Greetings!
You are receiving this newsletter because we are connected through our common bond in Yoga and because we share values, ideals and a passion born from our practice.
This newsletter testify of the recent growth of Yogi-nomad. In the
process we reviewed the reason of our existence: what makes us a different
organization while recognizing our Unity? This work is reflected in our new mission statement.
Many events are happening, like the upcoming "General Assembly" to
decide of next year directions, and you will be the first to know, as we will
be sending out newsletters regularly, to connect with you and to help you
connect with one another. Please tell us what else you'd like us to include,
and share your questions, thoughts, and ideas, we are listening.
If you feel like joining us in our endeavor, by all mean let us
know, as there cannot be any efforts left aside to make the world a better
place!

Birth and Rebirth Episode One
We see ourselves as born sometime in the past and accept, at least at a conscious level, that we will die one day in the future. But "the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." said Albert Einstein. Here is another possibility: we are born at each inhale, and die at each exhale, 15 times per minute on average. It happens so quickly (and we are so unaware), that we can perceive it no more than we can perceive the 50-Hertz flickering of the incandescent bulb. The intriguing potential of this hypothesis is that we are free to be born a new every few seconds, free from our past, free from our education, free from our conditions. Since we live in a conceptual environment created inside our minds, the way we see it is the way it is. "With our thoughts we make the world." said The Buddha. If the greater number believes one hypothesis, it makes an overwhelming case, but not necessarily a proof. Truth is so complex that the greater number often denies it. Today we invite you to celebrate an important event in the life of Yogi-nomad: The Birth of its Newsletter. No name yet for the young baby. Through this birth, we honor the constant effort to renew ourselves, to free ourselves from our illusions and bondages, and to look at the world through the eyes of a new born: fresh and untainted. This is the job of the yoga practitioner and for that reason we'd like this newsletter to be new at every issue. Just as the practitioner of Jnānā Yoga constantly asks him/her self "Who am I?"; we will use this tool to inform you of what is happening in our calendar, but also as a tool for practice: to stir your mind, for this moment. At Yogi-nomad we like to practice Yoga to awaken ourselves, and in the process, benefit others to see the world with expanded consciousness. This is an ambitious goal, so if you like to stir other peoples' minds (a good attribute of a teacher according to us) then please join the Yogi-nomad Network. Visit our new website to find out how to get more deeply involved in the network, in yourself, in expanding consciousness. Thank you for all your support and energy!

Gratitude for Varanasi Retreat in February
Varanasi, see you next year!
Thank
you for all your smiles! We never felt having guests but rather old
friends coming for a visit after a long time, so much to share, so many
things in common...
Next year an even more ambitious program
with a new teacher joining Yogi-nomad "Rachel Tsai" to help spread the light of
Jyotish and Ayurveda!
"To
The City of Light I give thanks for illuminating the depths of my soul,
opening eyes, mind and heart. Big Ups to Yogi-nomad who encouraged my
first conscious steps towards a lifelong pilgrimage. Om Namah Shivaya" Poppy, Australia
"In the city of lights ... city of contrasts, I was fortunate enough to realize the dualities within me. The format of the retreat made me feel like I was physically, mentally and spiritually reborn. Thank you Yogi-nomad for the opportunity!" Pinar, Turkey
