Greetings!
First, let me wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. The year 2010 has had its challenges with tornadoes sweeping across the state in April, but as we approach Thanksgiving we can now say the harvest is in, and hopefully it is one to be thankful for.
Some new items offered on our Travelers' Agribusiness Program are:
- Optional Med Pay is available on our EL coverage that includes losses involving "motor vehicles/autos, and watercraft." Please request this on all of your accounts that have EL coverage. There is no additional premium for this extension of coverage.
- Mathison Insurance Partners offers replacement coverage on items scheduled under Cov E, if the item is 7 years old or less. The item will need to be insured for replacement cost. Cotton Pickers are NOT eligible. 80% coinsurance applies.
Items that you may not be aware of that may be needed by your insureds:
- $100,000 blanket feed, seed, or chemicals coverage wherever located for $100.
- Enhanced pollutant coverage endorsement that can increase the coverage up to $100,000.
- Agri Plus endorsement that continues to offer many much needed coverages for only $225.
Finally, some general items:
- As equipment values continue to rise we strongly encourage you to counsel your insureds about using multiple secure locations to store their equipment thereby reducing their overall probable maximum loss exposure.
- On renewals where we have written the coverage for many years we will be requesting updated applications for our file. Primarily this will be the first 2 pages of a Travelers' app. You may indicate "as per renewal" wherever appropriate such as on the equipment schedule, property schedule, and outbuilding schedule. Also, you may indicate "see your file" for loss experience.
This has been a good year for the "ag" folks at Mathison Insurance Partners, Inc. and we thank you for your role in it. We know there are other farm markets out there and it is our goal to give you the best service and farm expertise so that you will come to us first for all your agricultural insurance needs.
Sincerely,
Haden Hughes, CPCU, AAI, AIM Mathison Insurance Partners
