Celebrate Children's Book Week

Baby with Basket of BooksThis week we observe Children's Book Week, a national celebration of books and reading for kids.

Here are some fun things you can do to celebrate:

  • Ask each family member to name their favorite children's book. Gather up the books and take turns reading them aloud. Ask each person to say why the book is special to them.
  • Visit the library and ask older kids to show younger siblings the books they loved when they were little.

  • Have a book swap with friends or family. If your kids have outgrown some of their books, see if you can swap them with friends or family who may have kids of different ages.
