Hubbard For House Newsletter
Friends,
A lot has happened in the past few weeks. We have secured the
Democratic nomination, the incumbent in our race has attracted stiff
primary opposition, and we gearing up for an energized general election
campaign in June.
Here are the latest news updates, press releases, and upcoming
events from the Hubbard for House 2010 campaign.

Joe Secures the Democratic Nomination
On Friday, April 2, we secured the Democratic nomination for State
Representative, District 73! We've been told that other potential
candidates were discouraged from entering this race because of the early
strength we have shown and the early support we have received from
people just like you.
I am proud to be the Democratic nominee for House
District 73. With the support we've received from people in this
community (many of whom have known me all my life) we can finally give
the people of this District an independent voice in the Alabama
Statehouse.

Help Joe Take His Message to the Streets
In just twelve days, we will file our 45 day report with the
Secretary of State's Office. As you know, in our last report, we
outraised the incumbent more than 2-1, and we did it with individual
donors just like you. This quarter, the incumbent has been raising
money for his primary, and we will have to work even harder to show that
we can be competitive. Your contribution before April 16 will ensure
that we can stay financially competitive, and it will give us the
resources we need to start knocking on doors by the end of the month.
You can make a secure, online contribution at our website, www.hubbardforhouse.com,
or donate directly here: http://bit.ly/81QbFo.
You have probably noticed the yard signs going up around town. We
need your help raising the profile of this campaign. As a political
newcomer, my name-id is lower than the incumbent's, but we can offset
his advantage with some well-placed signs. If you live on a busy
street, or own property in a visible location (even if not in the
District), please register here for a yard sign: http://bit.ly/cwnWQS.
Sometimes a well-placed sign is as valuable as a monetary contribution
(although both are welcomed).

Check Out Joe's Videos and Pictures
After you've watched our videos, check out our pictures and videos
from the campaign trail. We have visited with children in the pre-K
program at Newtown Community Center, high school kids at the Montgomery
Academy, held a fundraiser, and met with countless other individuals and
organization who have a vested interest in the future of this city and
State.
Check out our calendar here, http://bit.ly/cn3aPP, and see when we will be in
your neighborhood. We'd love to see you out on the campaign trail! |
