Building a National Reputation One Click at a Time

For the first 33 years of its existence, Fellowship Health Resources did not have a marketing strategy.  We were experiencing steady growth and did not feel compelled to invest in one.  Our website and promotional materials informed the public of our services, and county and state procurements guided our business development.  We developed a website that was informational in nature, sent out a quarterly newsletter to our database, issued occasional press releases, and held special events to gain organizational recognition.  We provided exceptional service in our communities for over three decades, and yet, Fellowship Health Resources remained largely unknown outside of mental health circles.

That began to change two years ago with the hiring of Mike Ratté, an experienced television newscaster.  Mike was convinced that for Fellowship Health Resources to gain recognition in the general community, we needed to drive people to our website.  Once visitors were at the site, there needed to be up-to-date news stories and features to bring them back.  Therefore, we made the decision to host the website in-house and to redesign it to be more interactive.  Under the leadership of Board member Norma Conley, the website gradually began to take shape.  Fellowship Health Resources' name recognition has increased significantly because of this investment.  People in all 50 states, and over 25 foreign countries, have visited our website.  The feedback has been tremendous.  Our web team, consisting of Margaret Carroll, Robin Dazzeo, Jim Spencer, Mike Ratté, and Mark Laslo, along with a web reporter from each of our organization's nine regions, has done an amazing job in a short amount of time.

There is so much more untapped potential, however, and we look forward to your input and ideas as we continue to grow our website, our arts and recovery program - Studio 35, and our music program - Myth & Music.

We welcome your feedback on our website.  You may direct your comments to our webmaster.

Making a Difference, One Person at a Time

scottScott P.'s journey, by his own account, has not been an easy one. Spending most of his youth in a foster home, Scott came to Fellowship Health Resources (FHR) Maine in 2007 as a young man in his mid-twenties. The transition to living more independently was, at times, a struggle for Scott.  He needed support from staff at Broadway House in many areas of his day-to-day activities.  Together, they have succeeded in meeting many of Scott's personal goals.  Read Scott's story ...
