Why Not a Grammy?
As President/CEO of Fellowship Health Resources, Inc., I am often viewed as a contrarian. I don't worry about being out of step with my peers, but trust my instincts and explore the possibilities. Over the past 35 years my steps have found me standing atop a 4,000 ft. New Hampshire mountain, ex-offenders as my companions, allowing the experience of seeing nothing but other mountains all around. My steps have also brought me to the Midwest to bring one of our program participants home. Neither of those actions was in my job description; however, they made all the difference in the lives of those involved, my own included.
Recently, my steps have allowed me to fulfill a personal dream. It is my passion for songwriting that has fueled my desire to incorporate the visual and performing arts into all of our agency programs. Studio 35, Recovery Television, Artists-in-Residence/Peer Mentor are just some of the creative avenues that Fellowship Health Resources is exploring to allow for recovery from mental illness.
To celebrate this new avenue of healing, a commemorative 35-year CD is in the making. I welcome your contribution as a supporter of the Fellowship, either as a service recipient, employee, or family member. While the odds of winning a Grammy Award are slim, I believe my greatest contribution to our organization is to inspire the belief in others that they may achieve goals that they never thought possible. After all, if we are going to produce a CD, why not a Grammy Award-winning one? We welcome your feedback on our website. You may direct your comments to webmaster@fellowshiphr.org.

I Found Compassion at Fellowship Health Resources
Ed Allard
I first became ill in January of 1967, and since that time have spent many years seeking recovery. Having schizophrenia has made recovery hard to find. My pattern through the years has been to discover a way to become fairly established and embedded in my community, become sick, flee my home, and find myself homeless. These episodes conclude in the hospital, most often after my being found staggering along the side of the road by police. I have suffered a great deal. Read Ed's Story ...
