Change is Good!

How do you get a different result? Why you change something, of course! Now, the real question is:

                   Are you motivated to change?

If you ask a smoker to change his 20-year-long habit and not smoke anymore for the rest of his life, he would probably tell you that it would be almost impossible - unless something drastic happened in his own life. It won't be because of those ads you see on TV. Maybe it will be because one of his friends passed away from lung cancer. It might be because he doesn't want to see his own children follow in his footsteps.

Until something DRASTIC happens in their lives, something that causes PAIN, change is UNLIKELY to take place.

So, what can we do about it? How can we motivate ourselves for big changes in our finances, health, our business or even relationships?

It's no great secret ... It requires predetermined goals and dedicated effort.

This means that you must completely abandon your old habits and start by looking into what do you really want.

This is why you need someone to support you physically and mentally to get what you truly want. If you don't have that, change will be very difficult. Ask yourself the following:
  • Who are the people in your life invested in your success and who want to see you grow?
  • Who are the people in your life who are willing to do whatever it takes to help you achieve your goals?
Contact them. Share a meaningful goal. Tell them the changes you want to make. Ask them for their support. Talk to them regularly. Allow them to hold you accountable. Take your life to the next level!

This is how you grow. This is the value of change.
This is how you are able to achieve success in your life.
This is leadership.

What Leaders are Reading

"Now Discover Your Strengths" by Marcus Buckingham and Donald Clifton. Effectively managing personnel as well as one's own behavior is an extraordinarily complex task that, not surprisingly, has been the subject of countless books touting what each claims is the true path to success. That said, Marcus Buckingham and Donald O. Clifton's "Now, Discover Your Strengths" does indeed propose a unique approach: focusing on enhancing people's strengths rather than eliminating their weaknesses.

LEADERSHIP TIP
OF THE MONTH

Hire A Coach!

To help you change, hire a coach.

Why are golf coaches, speech coaches or personal trainers so popular? Because they drive change and results.

A coach is a professional who works with individuals or teams. They not only help achieve results, they help sustain life-changing behavior.

Coaches address the whole person with an emphasis on uncovering blind spots and then producing the right actions and habits that will lead to more fulfillment, more balance and more effective processes for personal and professional success.
Coaches are people developers.

Leadership development often involves executive coaches, productivity and sales coaches. They can help you change and reach your true potential.
