March 1 launched the annual Minnesota FoodShare Campaign at IOCP and food shelves throughout Minnesota. This campaign is critical to shore up food shelves throughout the state in response to increased need and to prepare for added summer demands. We are so grateful for the efforts of faith communities, schools, businesses, corporations, scout and civic groups and neighborhoods who are stepping up with new and creative ways to get us to our goal this year - 60,000 lbs of food and $60,000.
A special thanks to the Mosaic Foundation for their generous match of $1 for each pound of donated food, and to the Auto Show dealers for incenting food donations for the IOCP food shelf at their Auto Show this year. How cool isthat!
We've a way to go - at the beginning of the week we were at 13,318.8 lbs of food donations and $4,670.00. Check our website to learn more about all the ways you can help get us to goal. Thanks so much, friends!

Weekly Needs
Weekly Needs is an IOCP effort to respond to immediate, specific needs of the families we serve. Needs vary and may include baby supplies, household items, or gift cards to purchase clothing not typically available in our resale shop.
We invite you to sign up to receive once-a-week e-mail notifications listing current needs. There is no obligation to donate an item. If at any point you would like to be removed from the weekly e-mail notification, let us know. |

In My Words
From KB, a man who was able to get his car repaired with help from IOCP:
"I brought my car into BP for the exhaust pipe repair and stabilizer bar control link. I can tell a difference in how my car handles when driving and no more exhaust fumes. I don't know the source of the grants or donations IOCP receives. However, my thanks goes to the people who anonymously help others without knowing them or questioning their problems. Blessings to all." |
