If we make it, Nov. 16 can be a very big day for our community and for the Sleep Out. It's Give to the Max Day--Minnesota's statewide effort to encourage donations to charities on a single day.
This year, thanks to a $150,000 gift match of two very generous donors, you have an opportunity to double the impact of your donation to the Sleep Out by donating on Give to the Max Day. We've got an incredibly generous start and a huge and growing need. The overall goal for the Sleep Out is $1.8 million. Our goal for Nov. 16 is $500,000.
Here's an easy and early and irreplaceable way to double the impact of donations given to the Sleep Out on that day: So make your donation on Nov. 16. Thanks, friends. Let's all give to the max to make life better for our families and kids!

"In my heart, I know I'm helping other people" | |
Peter Larson has redefined "community hero". For 12 years he has snuggled into a sleeping bag on some of Minnesota's coldest nights, all to make a point: that families in his community, at his school, struggle to find and keep stable housing. And that we can do something about it.
Now a high school senior, Peter is making a final run at raising awareness and funds for the housing needs of local families. His goal this year is $100,000.
Since he began sleeping out at age 6, Peter has slept out 295 nights and raised nearly $400,000. Support Peter in his final year!
- Donate online on Wednesday, Nov. 16 as part of Give to the Max Day, and double your dollars! Designate your donation to "Peter".
- Donate through Peter's own fundraising page.
- Send a check to IOCP (made payable to IOCP) and write "Peter Larson" in the memo line.
- Enjoy delicious pancakes at Countryside Cafe between Nov. 12 and Dec. 11. For every order, $1 will be donated to Peter's sleep out.
- Stop by Punch Pizza in Wayzata on Sunday, Dec. 4. Half the proceeds for that day will go to Peter's goal.
Take a minute and thank Peter for all he's done! |
