e-Touch              creating opportunities to thrive

Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners
June 2011

Work on the renovation of our new building continues on a fast track.  We anticipate an end of July move and a tentative Sept. 8,4:30-6:30 p.m. grand opening.  Excitement reigns as we move toward what at just a very short time ago seemed an unreachable dream. This amazing community is making ardent  believers out of all of us. Stay tuned for final details. We can hardly wait to celebrate with all of you who made the dream come true.

We Need You!

New building opens doors to volunteer opportunities

It's no secret--we're moving to our new building in Plymouth in July. With expanded services and space, we'll have many additional volunteer opportunities.

ReSale logoReSale 101, the new on-site resale shop, is recruiting people now to help with receiving donations and working in the showroom. Training will begin this summer; the shop is scheduled to open in September.

We will need 50 to 100 volunteers to make this effort successful! Volunteer roles include Team Leads, Receiving Associates, and Showroom Associates.

Open Your Hearts to End Hunger

July food shelf challenge calls for cash donations

What if you had to decide which of your children will eat today because there's not enough food in the house for everyone? What if you had to choose between feeding your children or putting gas in your care to make it to your job?

These are the choices facing 1 in 5 Minnesota families--your friends, coworkers, and neighbors.

Food Shelf logoA $55 donation will purchase 450 lbs. of food from Second Harveset and feed 3 families of 3 for 6 days.

During July, the Open Your Heart Challenge Grant proportionally matches cash donations to our food shelf. These funds help us offer more healthy food to our community's children.

Give from the heart! Thank you for helping us serve the growing number of families in our community who can't afford enough food for their families.

The mission of IOCP is to engage the heart and will of the community to respond to emergency needs and create opportunities for all to thrive.
