Challenging times have a way of pushing on people to find
new ways to sustain and grow. This
past year has certainly presented unprecedented challenges. At the same time, this
amazing community continued to step up and is positioned better than ever to
meet those challenges. Over the
past several months, task forces made up of board members, staff, volunteers,
and community partners have met to reflect and to create a plan for building
IOCP capacity and the capacity of "the whole village" to help our neighbors build
new and hopeful futures. Task
force recommendations were reviewed and approved by the IOCP Board of Directors
and have been integrated into an exciting new strategic plan that will be
shared at IOCP's April 29th
annual meeting. Save the
date, friends, and watch for further details of time and place at www.iocp.org. LaDonna Hoy IOCP Executive Director

Family Grateful for Food Shelf
Sylvia is one of 3,500 reasons for supporting the IOCP Food Shelf during the March food drive. A teacher for 23 years, she became sick and unable to work. Her reduced income makes it hard to keep enough food in her house for her two teenage sons. "I use the food shelf about once a month," she said. "I love it! I can make great meals with the food they provide."
Your financial support between now and April 2 will allow IOCP to leverage your dollars to purchase much-needed items for families like Sylvia's. · Donate online or by check. Mail to IOCP, 110 Grand Ave., Wayzata, MN 55391. · Drop off food donations Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at IOCP.
Given to date: 10,619 lbs. of food and $8,486-THANK YOU!
