Heartfelt thanks to all for your faithful and generous
support in 2009. The new year sets IOCP in a new direction of expanded community engagement focused on
changing the odds for struggling families and kids. Over the past six months IOCP board members,
volunteers, staff, and community leaders have been engaged in strategic planning
task forces focused on ways to heighten communitywide capacity for helping families build new and hopeful futures.
This plan will be rolled out over the next few months and will be ready for full
presentation and implementation at our spring Annual Meeting. Stay tuned, friends. Exciting days ahead. In the meantime, Happy New Year.

All about heart, and song
Heartsong is a musical celebration of the heart of this community and how far we've come over the past 30 years in building a community we can all be proud of.
An Orchestra of Churches, conducted by Mark Hemingway of Trinity Lutheran Church, and talented musicians from the following churches are participating: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Messiah United Methodist Church, Calvin Presbyterian Church, and Transfiguration Lutheran Church.
Join us this Sunday, 1/31, 3:30 p.m., for a lovely concert featuring a variety of music that will warm your heart and soul. Special thanks to Messiah United Methodist Church for hosting the concert. No tickets needed; a freewill offering will benefit IOCP.

Sleep Out, Larson break records Recent major gifts have propelled the Sleep Out Campaign to $1,568,429, IOCP's biggest ever in terms of cash donations. We are grateful beyond measure for the generosity and commitment of this community to stay with us during good and hard times.
In addition, more than 3,200 individuals donated to the campaign this year, compared to 2,700 last year. Though the sleeping out aspect of the campaign ended on December 23, IOCP gratefully accepts donations for the 2009 Sleep Out through the end of its fiscal year on March 31.
Peter
Larson's individual odyssey in a box all 40 nights was also a huge
victory. He raised $112,428, over and above his personal goal of
$100,000. In his 10 years of sleeping out, he's brought in nearly
$300,000 for housing needs in our community. Check out his amazing story!
