LaDonna Hoy
Executive Director

At this writing, Spread Your Wings 2009 is in countdown.

Honorary Chairs Jim and Kathryn Ramstad and Cochairs Robyn Cook and Rebecca Sundquist, and an incredible, unbeatable Spread Your Wings team, have planned an exciting dinner-auction celebration for Thursday, June 25, at the Lafayette Club. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a silent auction.

Spread Your Wings is at heart a celebration of our whole community on mission. A community that imagines boldly, believes passionately, and works together to anchor the hopes and give flight to the dreams of the people God has placed in our path.

2009 marks IOCP's 30th anniversary. While 30 years is a significant milestone, the real celebration is the
community we have become, are becoming together . . . and for good.

Heartfelt thanks to sponsors, donors, volunteers, and all who have contributed so generously to our silent and live auction, and made what promises to be an unforgettable celebration possible.

A limited number of
tickets ($130/person) are still available. Contact Nancy Holden.

You won't want to miss this celebration.

Funders step forward, support
Camp CONECT
Two girl campers
Just when we thought we would need to scale back our very successful 8-week summer camp, several funders stepped forward. We are extremely grateful to the following, whose grants will allow us to continue to offer a great camp experience for 150 kids:
General Mills Champions for Healthy Kids Grant (nutrition and physical fitness activities)
Pohlad Foundation (staffing 6 counselors)
Wayzata Public Schools (bus transportation)
Wayzata Public Schools LCTS (general operations)

It's not too late to join these funders and sponsor a camper. Your donation will help a camper enjoy a summer, week, or day of fun at Camp CONECT. Thanks to those who have already contributed more than $4,000 toward camp sponsorships!
CfKI leadership change
A warm welcome to Brenda Heim as the new executive director of the Caring for Kids Initiative. Brenda can be reached at bheim@iocp.org. Thanks to Nancy Johnson, who has served CfKI so well for the past two years during our start-up phase.
Auction Pay handles online donations
Our new web site is coming in July, thanks to a generous grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation Minnesota. As part of an overall technology upgrade, we have introduced Auction Pay, online donation software. When you make an online donation to IOCP, you will receive an automatic e-mail confirmation. Donating to IOCP just got easier! Check it out.
