A Green Halloween
1. Recycled Costumes
Create something with old clothes and other household goods or if you are not feeling creative, visit the local thrift shop for inspiration.
2. Reusable Bags
Skip the plastic bags, even the ones with the cute pumpkin on it and use a cloth bag, an envirosax or even a pillow case.
3. Rethink Candy Instead of those big-brand chocolate bars, hand out fair trade and/or organic chocolate. Or try buying a reusable treat like coloured pencils or playful erasers.
4. Decorate au natural
Make seasonal and spooky decorations with pumpkins and leaves, not plastic.
5. Walk your route Leave the car at home and stay within your neighborhood and follow the kids by foot.
