Adopt A Boxer
Barbosa is looking for his forever home! He is a special needs boxer and will require an experienced and dedicated owner/foster. He will do best as the only pet in the home. Please visit LSBR.org today and fill out a foster application or adoption application or help us continue to cover his boarding charges by donating below. Barbosa would also be a great candidate for sponsorship to be rehabilitated with a canine behaviorist.

Puppy Mill Seizure LSBR rescues Gem with the help of the SPCA in Houston.
With the help of the SPCA, over 160 dogs were seized from a local puppy mill. We're not sure of the details but are sure of one thing: Many of these animals suffered greatly. One of the luckier ones, this little white boxer girl, is now safe in with us in a wonderful foster home. She is about one year old but has no hair from a severe case of demodex mange. This condition will take months to heal, and a full recovery is still uncertain. She is small, approximately 30 lbs, and is currently experiencing swelling around her neck area as well as her extremities. Lone Star Boxer Rescue greatly appreciates your support, as it is through your generous donations that we are able to help boxers like Gem and many others who are in our program. Please continue to help us help dogs like Gem by making tax-deductible donations.

Keep Your Pet SAFE!
Tips for a worry-free 4th of July weekend
Going out of town for the July 4th weekend? If so, and if you plan to leave your pet(s) at home with a sitter or have a neighbor check in on them, remember fireworks often spook a dog and this is an all too common way dogs are lost when owners return home. Dogs will jump fences, dig their way out or escape through an unlocked gate. If you don't have a lock on your gate, please intall one, as this is the number one way dogs are lost or stolen. Please take precautions this weekend so your pets are safe when you return home.
Successful Adoption for Melody
Melody has found her forever home with a
wonderful family who first adopted from LSBR in 2003. Melody was rescued from Montgomery
Country Animal Control when she was brought in very pregnant as a stray. She
gave birth to a litter, but sadly none of her puppies survived. Since then she
has been with LSBR and is now enjoying the cool Calgary
weather with her new family!
