AEHS Cross Country Fall 2011

Boys Cross Country Wins Another Division Title!

For the second year in a row, the Einstein Boys Cross Country team won its division title. The boys once again finished a perfect 5-0 in duel meets by beating Blair 15-44 (lower score wins and 15 is the lowest score possible) and Clarksburg 16-45. Only a Clarksburg runner was able to break up Einstein's top five which was led by Nick Simpson, who is undefeated for the year, followed by Alex Hevey, Ryan Henderson, Ryan Merrell and Peter Giblin with Roberto Andaya and freshmen Rory Lewis and Lyle Wilson who tied rounding out the top seven.

The boys have dominated the division twice putting up the lowest total of 15 and its highest score in any meet was 19. Moreover, the boys cross country team has gone an astonishing 22-3 over the past 5 seasons in divisional dual meet competition.

Congratulations boys and Coach DaSilva and best of luck at Paul Short  Invitational this Friday.

While the girls did not match the boys success, they have shown vast improvement over last year and have done so with a top seven that consists of only one returning runner a sophomore Lauren Logan. The remaining top seven at the Blair/Clarksburg meet were Susana Molina, Pauline McMurry, Halcyon Ruskin, Karen Hernandez, Nora Sands, and Vicki Marinez. The future is very bright for this team as well.
