Induction Ceremony Weekend

AEHSHOF 09 Walk of Fame
The fourth annual Albert Einstein High School Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held the weekend of October 2nd and 3rd.  Two coaches and fifteen student athletes were inducted into the Hall of Fame that weekend from the classes of 1966 to 1984.

Additionally, the 1981 State Track Champions know as the "Magnificent 7" was also honored at the induction ceremony held on Saturday evening.

Magnificent 7 2009For this year's ceremony the Hall of Fame created the "Team Manager Award" in the memory of Daniel Sandler, Class of 1965 to recognize the efforts of team managers.  Danny was Einstein's first Manager and his dedication, spirit, and hard work was vital to the successful performance of Einstein teams and athletes.

Class of 1969 Reunion
The graduating class of 1969 held its 40th class reunion in conjunction with the Hall of Fame Friday evening festivities. 

Approximately 75 graduates from the class attended the Hall of Fame football game, barbeque dinner, and the post game party at the Rosensteel Knights of Columbus. 



Don Frederik 1969Don Frederick, the senior class President welcomed everyone back from the class that kicked-off the event and thanked the Hall of Fame for making the reunion a possibility.

Class of 1969 Reunion YearbookA great time was had by all.  People attended from all over the country.  In many cases some of the attendees had not seen each other since graduation.  At the post game party a slide-shown of pictures from the 1969 yearbook was shown.  What a hit seeing ourselves 40 years ago with all our hair, and a color other than gray. 
 
The reunion was such a success; plans are being made for another reunion in five years.  The decision to hold a reunion in five years instead of ten was out of necessity.  Most felt that if we waited for ten years, we most likely would forget.
Redskins/Eagles Raffle Tickets Winner

Redskins 1 AEHS graduate class of 1971 Joan DeRosa won this year's Hall of Fame Redskin Raffle Tickets.  The Hall of Fame thanks everyone that participated in this year's raffle.  All the proceeds from the raffle goes back to the school in terms of helping to fund the two scholarships granted each year from the Hall of Fame to the top male and female athlete at the school.
 
We hope that we can count on everyone's continued support of the raffle next year.  Remember you've got to play to win!
