Need some stats to help you sell the reliability of Four51? We get many questions specifically about system availability (uptime). It's a common RFP item, often part of a set of questions related to strength of infrastructure and security. It takes significant investment to provide high levels of uptime in an environment that supports 27,000+ catalogs, tens of millions of dollars in commerce every month and 1.4M registered buyer-users...growing at the rate of one new user every 15 seconds. During the past 12 months, the Four51 application has had 12 incidents totaling 103 minutes of
unplanned availability. Since the beginning of this year, the application has
had 4 incidents totaling 60 minutes of unplanned availability. This matches our
historical trend of delivering 99.9% or better uptime. Four51 uses both internal and external monitoring utilities to monitor the 24 servers and 181 services comprising the
application. Going back even further, since
2004 Four51 has provided 99.99% scheduled uptime. There were two hours
of unplanned outage in 2007, and 45 minutes in 2006.
