The Clara Lou Gould Fund for the Arts is dedicated to
supporting the work of artists who might not otherwise be
covered under existing arts programs.  The Fund's focus
lies in raising public awareness and projects that
further the role of arts in the Beacon area, including
work by individual artists.  The Fund is administered by

It's the third Friday of the month and the Howland Center
is rocking with some of the best amateur talent in the
area. Maybe it's time for you to come down and perform
yourself in one of the best venues in Dutchess County.
Music, poetry, dance,and comedy are all showcased. The
accoustics are great and the audience is friendly. The
coffee is hot and the refreshments are yummy! Come on
down and participate, either as a performer or a member
of the audience. Once you've been to one Open Mic, you're
sure to return again for a great night of friends,
neighbors, and music. The fun starts at 8PM with early
sign up at 7:30.

Pre-War Ponies.  Vocalist, bassist and baritone ukulele player Daria Grace has been making music in the NYC area for nearly 20 years with artists such as The Jack Grace Band, Melomane, God Is My Co-Pilot, The Moonlighters, and Kings County Queens.  The Pre-War Ponies are a realization of Grace's longheld desire to put her own mellow, jazzish spin on tunes she's known and loved for years.
