Photographer Michael Sibilia will be giving a sneak preview of the 23 prints that will be exhibited in March 2010 at the National Museum of Art in El Salvador. Michael is a freelance journalist who has been practicing the art of photography for over thirty years. His work has been published in several publications and he has had numerous exhibits of his pictures.

Beekman Street Artist Banners 2.0 Open Call for Artists
DEADLINE FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FEBRUARY 19, 2010
After an exciting and successful two year run, the first Beekman Street Artist Banners have been retired and it is time to create a new batch of beautiful banners! Calling all professional, amateur and student visual artists - painters, drawers, sculptors, photographers and artisans - who live and/or work in Beacon and within a 5 mile radius (Wappingers, Fishkill, Cold Spring, Garrison and Newburgh) for consideration to be placed on 13 foot tall banners leading from the Beacon waterfront and train station up to Main Street shops, eats and art! Banners will be up during good weather (approximately May through October) for two years; beaconcool.com provides information on the artists and links to their online presence or gallery representatives. Photography Workshops - Now Available!
Hudson Valley Photographer, Robert Rodriguez Jr will be conducting a series of photography workshops in the Hudson Valley. The workshops are divided into field and classroom sessions. "Photography is the language of light, color, shape, texture, and emotion. Your ability to learn and use this language effectively is the basis of how I approach each Beyond the Lens workshop," says Robert. Robert is a highly respected educator in all aspects of landscape photography including field work, digital printing and editing. If you are serious about your photographic potential, then his workshops will provide you with the ideas, concepts, and inspiration that make any camera a tool of true creativity.

The hour will have some freestyle play, mixed with loads of parachute, and indoor running around. Miss Jinni will lead the way through the imaginary jungle, and popping all those parachute bubbles. $7 per child/suggested fee

Toddler Art at the BCC begins again on Friday Jan 29th. Open Art for ages 1+ Friday 10 -11 am $10 per child Please bring a paint shirt, or smock with you, things can get a little messy. Parent participation is required.
