The 2009 Holiday Season is coming soon. Lets make Beacon sparkle and attract people to Beacon for arts, music, shopping, eating, events and simply enjoying our great art city. The Tioronda Garden Club, Beacon Arts Community Association and the Beacon Business Association are working together and we need your participation...Here's the top seven things you can do to help make this a great holiday season in Beacon!
1. Help Decorate a Window - Snowflakes is the Theme!
2. Come Sing! Friday 11/27 "Jingle Bell Jazz & Holiday Lighting" at 5:00 pm - Howland Cultural Center, 474 Main St. A music program presenting Margaret McDuffie, jazz vocalist and Art Labriola, pianist & composer.
3. Be Part of the Gingerbread House Trail!
On Sunday, November 29th, the Cup and Saucer Tea Room, 165 Main St, will host a "Hansel & Gretel Gingerbread House Workshop Tea" at 4:00 PM. Please call for reservations 831-6287.
4. Participate in the Holiday Parade of Gifts Santa will lead the parade in a fire truck on Saturday, December 5th at 4 pm (Rain/Snow date is Sunday, December 6th at 4pm).
5. Donate a Grab Bag gift!
6. Participate in Beacon's Second Saturday! December 12th galleries and shops are open late until at least 9pm.
7. Be Current in your BACA dues! The lights and decorations on Main St, the publicity, the posters, the prizes, etc all cost money. Please make sure your dues are current.
