E-mail Etiquette: If it is pointed out to you that you made a mistake in a previous e-mail or other online environment, offer your humble apology and take corrections with grace.
Certainly some people will be nicer about pointing out your mistakes than others, however, regardless of how they do it, take the high ground and thank them for their time.
Using technology successfully requires you be prepared to be on a continual learning curve, constantly learning something new every day!
When mistakes are pointed out to you, regardless of the other side's motives in doing so, simply look at it as them doing you a favor, thank them and let them know a correction has been made.

Working Parents Learn Ways to Ensure Academic Success for Their Children
|
Imagine this scenario: An interactive seminar that increases your bottom line, impacts the future workforce and includes lunch or breakfast. Did I mention it's FREE and only requires 30 minutes of time? The staff at Langdale Place experienced the Helping Your Child Succeed presentation on Tuesday, September 7. The participants walked away with valuable resources and knowledge for the working parent to ensure the academic success of their children. Statistics show that children whose parents are directly involved in their education perform better in school than those children whose parents are not involved. These statistics carry over into the workplace and correlate directly with employee performance and productivity. Impact your bottom line today at no expense and allow your employees the opportunity to experience the Helping Your Child Succeed presentation. For more information or to schedule a Helping Your Child Succeed presentation at your business, please contact Keyara Hamilton at 229-247-8100. |
Internship Success
|
Pictured: Former interns from the Speech Communication department,
Courtney Ruttinger, ReKasa Deen and Sarah Kirby, all current Chamber
employees, with Valdosta State University Speech Communication Professor, Dr. Suzannah Patterson, APR.
The Chamber advocates college students getting
involved in the business community through internships. Internships are a great
way for businesses to tap into the valuable talent from our local educational
institutions. For many years, VSU Speech Communication Professor, Dr. Suzannah
Patterson, APR, has recommended students for internships at the Chamber.
The Chamber, in partnership with VSU and Wiregrass Georgia Technical
College, will host a
Talent Connection Forum Oct. 7, 6-7:30 p.m. for the business community to learn
how to get signed up to offer internship opportunities for their business.
