By not including a signature file, your e-mail can be viewed as ending abruptly. This is also an opportunity to wrap things up and end your e-mail with a sense of consistency in message and tone.

VSU's Dr. Schnake updates the business community on EFCA

The South Georgia Employer Committee and the Chamber co-sponsored the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) Seminar on June 23 at the Georgia Department of Labor. Dr. Mel E. Schnake (Valdosta State University) updated attendees on the current process of unionizing a workplace and how EFCA, also known as Card Check, legislation would effectively eliminate private voting, put government regulators in charge of private business decisions and unfairly punish businesses through harsh new penalties. "Card Check could dramatically change the union organizing process, and that could cause financial detriment to small and large businesses," stated Schnake.
